My name is Christa, and I am a mother (of 2), wife, elementary school teacher, therapist and runner. Running has always been my own personal form of “therapy”. As someone who has endured marathon training several times over, I am familiar with the rigors of intensive and regimented athletic training and the impacts that such a regimen can have on one’s life in so many ways/areas.
I have a special interest in helping elite athletes to cope with the unique pressures that they face.
In addition to being a Registered Psychotherapist. I have further qualifications as a Certified Sport Psychology Coach, a Clinical Traumatologist, and an EMDR Trained Therapist.
I love to read (memoirs are my favourite!), run and be active, and binge watch shows on Netflix (true crime and documentary series)!
I work primarily with high-performing athletes (aged 16+ years) on challenges/topics such as identity, core beliefs, anxiety, motivation, pressure(s), the impact of sport on relationships, handling mental and emotional fatigue, coping skills, mental skills training, etc.
Additionally, I work with young and middle-aged adults experiencing a wide variety of challenges such as:
Every individual's needs are unique, so therapy is tailored to each client.
